The unique properties of our active ingredient

Our active ingredient, Phase 2, is derived from white kidney beans (Phaseolus Vulgaris).* This extract’s unique properties act on an enzyme created by your body during digestion called alpha-amylase.* Alpha Amylase is produced in your saliva and pancreas and helps to break down starchy foods into sugars.* Phase 2 inhibits the action of alpha-amylase, so a portion of the carbs you eat are digested but never converted into sugar – and therefore can’t be stored as fat.*

In studies conducted since 2001, Phase 2 has been shown to safely contribute to weight loss. According to a study published by the National Institutes of Health,
